Is it a cliche if I start with ‘should I start writing again?'

For the people who wonders at the word ‘again’, I used to write a blog with a cliche topic almost all the time. I stopped writing when I turned to a watcher from a reader and I never regretted my decision but when hell is breaking loose in 2020 I thought that what more bad could happen if I resume writing. In a corner of my mind I always believed that everything in the world is connected similar to a butterfly effect, so to write I felt I should start to read again and to read again I needed motivation,  I was waiting for the right moment and I got one last week.  I was forced into a conversation about politics with an outright right-wing conservative Indian woman from my apartment building while I was cooking a most un desi meal . She always expresses her displeasure that I eat anything but Indian foods, I also discovered that she is against everything I believe about equality and secularism but I restrained myself from arguing about that, would it make sense to argue about s...

One place and a million emotions!

Image
Life is not without surprises, few may turn good and few may not. We are lucky if that surprise gives us everything we asked for, with all the emotions put together, make us cry in happiness and sadness and in the end give us a package which we can carry proudly for rest of our life, even to our death bed. I have had one such amazingly exquisite experience last summer which can never be taken away from my remembrance, Barcelona! La Ciutat! Visiting Barcelona sat on top of my bucket list for long, for the city and the culture around the place, for the craze of Mediterranean atmosphere and primarily for the football. I had nothing to complain when my friends planned for a trip to Barcelona last summer. So that was three of us. The whole trip was planned around a football match between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, El Classico, the oxygen of the trip. It was no ordinary match, the match which has the capability to freeze the entire footballing world. More than any other influen...

A Reformation much needed than Demonetization!

It’s going to be five months since I started to live in Stockholm. I should have explored half of this city by this time, but you know a student budget works :P . But I did have some quality time here. Roaming in streets of old town of Stockholm itself  an enthralling experience for a guy like me, who prefers music. I have seen the first snowfall of my life; walking in snow, building a snowman, slipping down in the snow, throwing snowball at my friends, believe me I have always lived in cities with temperature around +30 deg Celsius and should I say how a snowfall would make me feel? Kay! I will write about my Swede life in a different post. I have something more important to put here. This might be a not so uncommon thing to talk in India but I know I can analyze that in a souped up fashion. I feel and believe that only an indicative education will help us to move towards a healthy and sustainable society and I also believe that education system in India is fai...

What age has done to me!

With my best friend under the influence of Tequila, I was left alone to think and graze my past. It’s not bad to rewind my life while sipping my coffee standing in the balcony of my apartment in 7 deg temperature of Stockholm. It was never a killing-adventurous one but it was not without pretty big changes/surprises/sorrows/happiness (usual tale, isn’t it? ). When I turn back and look at me, I can classify my life into three stages. GB till 16 years of age, GB between 16-20 and GB after that. I am so sure that everyone would have undergone changes, irrespective of their sex, clan and nationality but I put my changes as the most imperative among all ( yeah, I am the author and I can do that :P   ) So thinking back, The vintage GB (Please keep reading, don’t stop :P ) I was creative. Believe me, I was. During Tamizh classes in college I used to translate the Tamizh poetic verses to English even when the lecturer was teaching that. My bad! I have lost th...

God is writing my love story!!

We all have been familiar with “Kaathutrukom”, “Yo mama  so fat”, “Kathukita motha vitha” Memes. Recently a Meme has been trending and it is used so much by single guys to evade the showing off committed people *adhaee than! In neram uugichrupel* that is “God is writing my love story” meme!! So, I don’t care much if God is currently writing my story or he wrote the story but forgot to update it or will write the story in future. IF he ever think about writing a story for me and finding a good, classy, charming *ahem ahem* Girlfriend/date/wife *I am soo Indian that I may probably get a wife before finding a Girlfriend* He should read this post. He might even ask my yet to be created Girlfriend to read this post before making her fall for me *If I am to write this post for my yet-to-be GF, I should  write that in future impossible tense only* I assume that God and My varumkalam will be reading this post and I am starting to write how it is to fall in love w...

Query from Quora!

What can save a 21 year 'kid' (I can justify!) dying of boredom? Quora!  All my writing interests are shape-shifted into reading ability and I am spending hours in Quora, digesting what the active internet community puts for me. One of my favorite authors in Quora is Balaji Vishvanathan. I am surprised by his knowledge profundity in History, Economics and Global Politics. His Ideologies are pretty much ‘right’ and I can’t complain that since capitalistic economy will boost the growth of any country, though we might have adverse effects at times. He is too good for this highly fraudulent world. He amazes me with drooling positivity in every article he has generated. His answer to this question caught my attention.                                             ...

What I accept and India rejects!

What’s out there? Burning men alive for having beef! As if all the other issues are all set to be resolved in India. Riding the Pakisthanis out even when they stay here for legal purposes (Aleem Dar, Wasim Akram were the few persons who enjoyed the hospitality of the super brilliant Shiv Sena). Havoc in JK, Spending 20k crores of rupees on agri lands to convert it into a world class capital! Aircel is on the move to give it's users basic internet for free but the pulses rates are riding on a boeing with almost 200 rs per KG! (Wow!! This is all what digital India can afford, Text, waste limitless time and starve, Ab ki baar eat the electronics sarkaar!!) Though there are lot of funny, serious, waste, useful topics out there my mind always searches for  topics which will drag me into controversy, will make many turn against my topic and which is in fact turning against me! J Yeah! That makes me happy. When the whole world thinks one way, my mind will go in th...
