Reasons why I feel that I should leave my country!
Very few countries have citizens
who are extremely happy to live in their country and never give any second
thought to their opinion, regrettably I’m not a civilian of those
countries. While reading this, readers
will be shrewd enough to know that I despise my own country, I am not a
self-contented man, I am a selfish hominid who is self-centered enough to blame
his nation. Pause for a while before hitting play!
There are reasons, which makes me to entertain the thought of owning a house at the coast of Mediterranean with a Mustang in my garage, my study facing the sea and chill sea breeze hitting my face when I am in it.
First of all I feel deeply uncomfortable to live in a society which controls the individuals. I deeply remorse for the most static society in the world. A society which doesn’t allow changes will cease to exist soon. This exactly happens to the Indian society. The cultural heritage is different from infrastructure made by the social blocks. These communal and social power blocks decide for you, what you should learn, how should you live, whom should you marry and when should you shit! In India, Society is nothing but accumulation of unwanted and unattained desires of individual humans, which all put together as a whole. When a particular individual couldn’t live a life which he wanted, he creates a scenario that people shouldn’t live a life which they dreamt of. People ravish and say classy if they watch a manirathnam’s romance movie but when they see a pair in reality they consume a disgusting thought about them. This is a society which doesn’t care about us during our birthdays but will spring with war emergency during our exam results. I see the motive of making us to feel embarrassed scores much than the motive of wishing us out of care and love. This society relishes others failures and makes fun of the human ethics. It’s better to not to care about others than to fake the care.
The country where I live has a unique metric system. The car which we have to get is not based upon our requirements but it should be advanced in every aspect comparing to our neighbor's car. The school which our kids learn should have at least one centum scorer on news more than the school which our neighbor’s kid goes to. The IQ of our children is decided by comparing scores with the kids of friends we know. No, Of course not, this is not the type of country where I choose to live in.
When a group of people who are attempting to raid the resources of their nation out of immaculate greed with the help of violence as their ally, the country will name them as extremists and will be mercurial to eradicate them, for the welfare of the citizens of that nation. But in the holy land where I reside has a custom, for a change the government gives authority to avaricious giants to exploit the wealth of the nature, if the tribals and the people of those land stand against the abduction on the nature, the government stamp them as Maos and continues their proud exploitation. I go for sustainable and ecofriendly development not the development over environment.
When there is a word “Secularism” inducted in the constitution of India, I feel that when the ruling party when favors a particular religion directly or indirectly it’s against the basic civil structure of this nation. No, it is not my assumption, my thoughts are based on the events which happen in this country. The people of Democratic India, you might have heard about “Ghar Vapsi” that is converting people back to Hinduism who were once Hindus and moved on to different faith later. Though it is told that it is done with their full acceptance, my ultra-hyper brain doesn’t fail to accommodate a thought that why hadn’t been these many people didn’t tried to get back to Hinduism two years ago and why now? When the root of the ruling party is recognized for the principle of Hinduthva, how can the Indian people expect the Secularism in the nation now? A convicted and hanged criminal, Mr. Nathuram Gotse, who is well known for the crime for which he was hanged, was once a famous member of that Hindutva organization, now that organization has planned to install statues of Mr. Gotse all over the Bharat! I’m equally happy to hear the news that a well-known hanged to death criminal is going to be portrayed as a hero in the minds of future generations (For the beginners, it is a sarcasm). If the democratic and non-partial government in India allows the statue of Mr. Gotse to be installed then what hesitation does it have to un-ban the LTTE or at least allow the supporters to plant a full stature statue of Mr. Vellupillai Prabhakaran? I have zero intention to live in a land where the government moves away from its secular ideologies.
How will we feel to be in a
country where most of its citizens feel gratified to attach their caste names
behind their original names? I feel obstinate when I see the caste names in the
places of family names, at least it is followed by major part of the nation’s
citizens. When we proudly report to UN that we have moved to an inch away from the
status of developed nation, when we fight for permanent position in the
Security Council of UN, there are still cases of Honor killing going on in this
land. Barbarian behavior seems to prevail all over the nation. The political
leaders who should eradicate this practices, unfortunately also communal
leaders, then how will they? My dear nation, how can I not compare this
situation with the story of wolf guarding the sheep?
According to archeologists Indian
culture and civilization is the oldest in the whole world but still it is not
the most developed civilization. Doesn’t it tell you that something somewhere
there is a booboo? To showcase the underdeveloped criterion we needn’t go
google search, the way Indian people and Indian community treats women are the
solid examples. Even the uneducated can do a Doctorate thesis with the amount
of information and incidents we have on women suppression. Only in India the
rapists can wander as freely as sadhus! Only in India the rapists can give
interviews that what they had done is right, only in India the political
leaders instead of taking steps to exterminate rapes and ripping the testicles
of the rapists will blame the women of Bharat for that misfortunes. Tell me, in
future on what promise do common people like us, can trust the society while
sending our wives and daughters out? I want to live in a country where
women is free to do what she likes, where she can drive without fears even when
the clock hands strike twelve AM. With the evidences of rapes in Delhi,
Bangalore, Kolkata has been continuously on the upper scale, with the stat of
for every one hour twenty two rape cases has been filed, with the stat that not
more than two percent of the rapist are punished, how can I tell that India is
a safe country for me and my family to reside? Either the people should has to
be bound by law, which is the case in Arab and Malaysia or they should be bound by ethics, like the people of northern Europe (Denmark, Norway has been
remarkable with the self-responsibility of their people, rapes do happen there but
still less than once in a blue moon) I am very sorry to tell that the people of
India are not bound by neither of those two things which I have mentioned. When five
year old little girls and sixty year old grans are the rape victims what other
conclusion can I make?
In the world’s largest democratic nation its judiciary system is a mockery. The loop holes of Indian judiciary system are large enough even for the largest persons to come out of it. The justice can be slow but it should be steady but here it is slow and weak. When there is no possibility of justice being served at the right time, there is no need for a judiciary system at all. The Justice delayed is justice denied.Tell me, Am I wrong with my intent?
When there need to be a herculean effort to attain justice, there are limitless injustice are being put into practice in easy-peesy way! Where there are heavy bark for equality, here it is just otherwise. After all these years from the day of independence, the government is not seeing the reservation system as a barricade for equality but it promotes reservations even in the nook and corners just to not to lose its vote bank. I don’t want my kid to get frustrated by scoring high enough but couldn’t get into the desired position because of the reservation systems. I don’t know how many young blood here still support that “effective” reservation practice (again it is a sarcasm).
Rich in diversity! Unity in diversity! Meh! Seriously? With surmount states and limitless cultural and linguistic practices you tell that all Indians are united? Read the daily paper, you will know how the Indians are united. Andhra government is locking horns with telengana, Kerela is not allowing Tamil Nadu to store the allowed amount of water in Mullai Periyar dam even after the Supreme Court orders them to do that. Karnataka is ruining vegetation in the delta districts by stowing waters of Cauvery, Controversy of Maratians are still loads. Recently I have read in a magazine (Kumutham reporter) that there is a controversy in kerala, which is, malayali doctors are refusing to treat Tamilians. What can you infer from the above incidents? If I tell that India will disintegrate into many pieces like how the great Soviet Union had once divided, they will put me in jail. I leave the choice to you, to decide that if there is any brotherhood among the diverse people of India. When divided we stand, there is a huge possibility of invasions politically and economically. How many Bose, Nehru, Anna, Kamarajar, Vivekanandhar may appear in this holy land, How hard they take to preach their ideas to mother Indian people, these people will stick with their communities and communal ideas but not with India.
Aren't the stated reasons enough? For my decision to move away from this holy land? There will definitely be several people to disprove my facts or even if they approve my reasons they will argue that we should not leave mother India and we should continue serving this great nation. They also will tell that no country in this world is perfect, India is lot better than many of the most nations present in the two hemispheres of the world. Still they will add that if I am so concerned about the negatives in this nation why should not I stand up and dry clean the dirt?
My answers for those whole bunch of my even minded friends are this: The situation is, India has moved too far from dry cleaning its mistakes. We must throw away the dirt coupled cloth and get the new one. We must rebuild the foundation. If I were Ras al gul I would burn the entire corrupt nation down, of course there are few batmans who will appear and tell us that still the nation can be saved. The reality is I am not Ras al Gul and there is no Batman in this Nation. I can’t stand up correcting the imperfections because I am just a messenger, I am an observer, I am not destined to take lead, I am not a leader but I can be a good citizen. All that I want is, current and forth coming generations should be a good citizen for this great nation, if there are too many good, self-controlled and responsible citizens in this nation there is no need for good leaders. If this kind of
“Who may rule,
What may come,
I am not moved until I am stoned”
Situation continues there is no
other go for our good hearted future generations to move out of India and merge
in another culture or to create culture and society for their own.
According to me, the world should
move towards oneness, there should not be any caste or creed or religious
identity. What must be there is, the thought that we are the citizens of the
world. The good eccentrics in each culture
should be put together to build a culture for this world. The culture and
community should be dynamic. Every individual should go behind greater good,
not behind individual glory.
When all other culture looks
hundred years forward for development, we can look thousand years back for
moving towards developed status. We must be the teachers for the world but the
sad part is we are the learners now.
Fine observations in a nutshell.
